'Cash For Query' Storm: Is this end of the road for Mahua's political career?

TMC MP Mahua Moitra has informed Delhi High Court that she will not be pressing for relief against media houses in the defamation suit filed by her related to the 'cash for query' controversy.Moitra has moved the Court against Dubey, Dehadrai and a host of media platforms seeking directions to them to take down the allegedly defamatory allegations that she asked questions in parliament against Adani Group in return for cash from businessman Darshan Hiranandani.Lok Sabha Ethics Committee has asked Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra to appear before it on November 2 instead of October 31 in connection with the ‘cash-for-query’ case. The ethics committee has, however, warned Mahua Moitra that no further extensions in dates beyond November 2 will be entertained. The ethics committee is probing BJP MP Nishikant Dubey's allegations that Mahua Moitra accepted cash and favours for asking questions in Lok Sabha on businessman Gautam Adani at the behest of businessman Hiranandani. Now the oppositon leaders have been very careful in this case and are not openly supporting Mahua Moitra. If proven guilty, Mahua will be disqualified and she will surely try to turn that to her advantage. But if we take a look at history, this disqualification can become the end of the road for Mahua's political career as her party TMC itself is not very keen to defend her openly.
